Jovan Miles

Jovan Miles is a 15 year veteran of Public Education in Georgia. He is a graduate of the DeKalb County School System and a three time graduate of Georgia State University. As a professional, Mr. Miles has had the honor of serving students and their families in Atlanta Public Schools as well as in the DeKalb, Henry, and Gwinnett County School Systems.

Mr. Miles has been fortunate enough to serve students in traditional public schools, alternative programs for public school students, single gender academies, traditional charter schools, and public/private partner schools.

He has also worked at the school level as a classroom teacher, Instructional Coach, and building Administrator, at the central office level as an Instructional Coach, and at the regional level with the Georgia Department of Education as a School Effectiveness Specialist and Principal Coach.

Mr. Miles work with school leadership teams to build their collective capacity in order to drive systemic and sustainable positive change in K-8 schools.

Data Analysis

Mr. Miles develops data systems that allow teacher teams to quickly dis-aggregate and use assessment data to make decisions about students' needs.

Family and Community Engagement

Mr. Miles works with schools and school leadership teams to develop systems designed to intentionally improve their relationships with families and community members. He also works with schools to help them increase meaningful community partnerships.

Culturally Responsive Teaching

Mr. Miles works with schools and school leadership teams to create learning environments that center students' interests and their lived experiences.
